Don't Rock the Boat!!

That was the theme of the day, in more ways than one. "Can I sleep in your bed with my big girl panties AND a pull up?"
"Sure!"
"Does it matter if Hannah likes to mix her bananas with her chicken noodle soup?"
"That's fine!"
"Can I drink a latte each morning instead of regular milk?"
"No problem!" (for the record, a latte at our house is a cup of milk with about a tablespoon of coffee, but it tastes MUCH better to a sophisticated three year old!)

As you can see, the empty laundry baskets (yea!) were the boats, terribly shaken before Jesus calmed the storm...I figure if I can't get any laundry done, we may as well make good use of the baskets! Happy Friday to everyone reading this...

She's a genius!!

Hannah woke up this morning spouting off two more words - "insey" (Linsey) and "dada." This brings her vocabulary to a whopping 5 words, no doubt on her way to the fast track in school :)

Just so I don't sound too proud, these new words were closely followed by her taking off her sock and stuffing it into her mouth, but it's better than the diaper she tried to eat last week, or the napkin she ate yesterday. We just got back from town and a sushi birthday party for our associate pastor. Hey, don't knock it till you've tried it!! Even Hannah tried some, we're trying to start them off on the right track. Both girls are actually asleep so I'm going to try the same!

A Good Excuse

Just when I was starting to really get into this blog thing a couple of weeks ago, my husband took the camera away so he could shoot some footage of his new hobby - skateboarding. So as soon as I get that back, I promise to update these pictures!

We had a great week of revival meetings at our church, although the evangelist's daughter got the flu and spread it to our family :) Christians really do "have all things common"! Linsey started getting sick while we were out of town on Tuesday. She looked really pale, so I asked her, "Linsey, are you not feeling good?" She said, "No, I think I"m getting carsick like Chan!" (We were fortunate enough to get an exchange student who gets carsick both in Korea and in America!) Sure enough, two days of yuckies followed, she's better but still "a little sick." A little emotional too - Tom asked her why she was bawling at naptime the other day, and she said, "I just need to cry in my bed for a little bit." He chalked it up to female hormones...hmmm, I wonder what those will be like in 10 years!

Have a great weekend!
