Miscellany Monday is great because I have lots of pics I love but can't seem to make into an entire post!  Here are some recent random faves:


Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters




~ Tom:"Why is it, when I say, 'Oh my goodness!'  you say, 'Hold on, let me grab the camera!!'"


~ Nattie is keeping up with the older girls pretty well this summer, much to Hannah's dismay.  She gets frustrated that Nattie is into all her stuff, literally :) 



~ Linsey came bursting into the kitchen last night around dinnertime, reeking of perfume:  "Mom, don't put perfume on your tongue - it tastes bad and it will burn your tongue!  (looks around nervously) ...I just heard that somewhere." She passed my breathalizer test, but I'm still doubtful...

~  Hannah can't even manage to sit in her chair for a meal, much less stay in bed the entire evening.  We often find her like this as we're headed to bed, in the room I just picked up:

 

However, I finally found a way to contain her!  We're travelling soon, I hope to find one of these that will fit on the plane...

    Hey Liz, these pictures are so cute. I always grab the camera. Yesterday I decided to leave it at home and I missed out on some great pictures! That is funny about the perfume! I hope you have a super weekend!

Last week we had the most fun with the letter "P" for Hannah's preschool (I love it when there are activities all 3 girls can enjoy!) We've gone through the alphabet with a letter by letter emphasis, just to give some structure to our days and streamline activities. "P" is for...Penguins  We learned facts about penguins and made these adorable crafts, found here . (The only change we made was to use construction paper, since we had no paper plates on hand.) My girls all love penguins and had fun trying to imitate their walk. The first time we saw penguins at the zoo, Hannah bravely remarked, "I'm not afraid of penguins, they waddle!" "P" is for... Painting Linsey's art is through the K12 curriculum, so I just have the younger girls to modified versions of whatever she is doing, which happened to be painting this week. My First Giveaway!! Digital Scrapbooking Software

I have been tossing around the idea of doing a few giveaways and reviews for awhile, so when My Memories Suite emailed and asked me to host a giveaway for Amazon's #1 ranked digital scrapbooking software, I jumped at the chance! I love traditional scrapbooking. I've done several books of my own and some for friends, but having a lot of small children around and a lot of small (expensive) scrapbooking material is a bad combination, especially because I don't have a workroom to close off. Working Mom, Part I: Office Supplies

As you may know, I've recently transitioned from works-from-home(schooling) mom to full-time working mom who put all 3 of her kids in school for the first time within 2 weeks of each other. (I don't recommend that, by the way, it was mildly traumatic!) While I am pleased with how this transition has played out, and my husband seems happy with it as well, Linsey, who is 8 going on 35, is not as impressed with my office job. We were watching a reality TV show recently about people who worked in a cupcake bakery that were making a 1,000-cupcake replica of a Mardi Gras mask, when she quipped, "Wow, Mom, aren't you glad you don't have to do that kind of hard stuff at your work? All you have to do is type." And I immediately thought, Yeah, tell that to my boss!
